ct20b flows slightly more than at ct26 and can hold higher boost levels due to a steel exhaust wheel, instead of the ceramic wheel on a ct26 Ant1

so there were no ceramic wheeled CT20bs?? I thought the JDM ones were still ceramic.

Sorry mate, i wasn't aware of the ceramic wheeled ones, i have only seen/handled steel wheeled models.

Yeh, so only 2500 steel ct20bs,

adm and grpA/CS st185s also got steel turbine 26s and a different comp wheel.

That thread Cogs mentioned pretty much solves any problem I will have whilst doing the conversion. Thanks again mate.

So I am in the middle of putting the CT20b on and I noticed that the down pipe has the 7th hole to bolt the turbo on. Does that mean that the down pipe is off a gen 3?

CT20 has one more stud/bolt than CT26 on the dump interface.

I have a gen 2 3SGTE and it has had that down pipe the whole time, though i only just realised. So does that mean that the down pipe is off a gen 3? Is that an upgrade on the gen 2 one?

Is it a std cast pipe your talking about? If so I doubt its a upgrade.I haven't looked a. Gen2 one but the gen3 is still pretty bad

The factory dump/cat combos are not that great.  I got one the ebay stainless dump/cat pipes that cogs organised as a group buy a while back (SARD dump/cat copy).  Just got the car running, its working great so far.

Cheers
