Looking good, you must be itching to get it all buttoned up now. Out of curiosity, how much did the rev5 wing end up setting you back through an importer?

I'l send you a PM

Hi All,

Ive been a bit lazy with the car as I needed to wait on hoses and I bought myself a new shelf for my garage to help with keeping everything in order.

Ended up routing all the hoses and completed this!

I needed to remove my HKS Super Dragger to get cut open and then repacked so I thought during this time I would hit some other parts while space was available to minimise downtime.

I decided it was time to swap out my subframe!

Out with the old

I had this powdercoated as I didnt want to install what I received from Japan without giving it some love as it had some corrosion on it from its previous life.
Also got a Rev4 19mm Sway bar with this as well - But I seemed to already have a 19mm?
Some websites seem to say the standard is 17mm? So unfortunately I bought the wrong size bushings so need to come back to this and change at a later point.

I also had some RacerX Subframe inserts - Not sure how much this has actually helped the feel as I did so many things together but the theory is these will fill the gaps between the bolts and stop the subframe from having any movement.

Just incase someone wants to look.

My factory suspension with HKS springs was a bit rough going over bumps and the like, so I made the call to put in the coilovers I had laying around also.
While doing this I changed my swaybar links. I had adjustables already but it was annoying my everytime I needed to so something with they were imperial.........

Before putting the car back on the ground I wanted to see what it looked like with the Regamasters that I had and I think I have now decided im going to have this set refinished in white.

I cleaned everything up and forgot to take a photo in the day light with everything completed!
But during the coilovers I replaced all the top nuts with brand new factory nuts and I wanted to get some Rear Strut Tower Braces also. (Not sure how much this even helps but I liked the idea of these) See below

Now im all done until the exhaust is resealed then I can reinstall and maybe I can get the new bushings before that happens too!
Some completed engine bay to finish off.

Hope all the photos work as I needed to change the way I upload photos to the website again apparently.

Looking great Dickson.
I would also be interested to know your opinion on the later X member when you get the car finished.

I also did that swap and found that with the later model X member the car now has better straight line tracking compared to the early X member with the shorter arms. (I also run stock alignment specs).
Far less fatigue on long trips, because with the early X member I always thought that the car was a bit too 'darty' on the average country road.
I think that for a normal road car, this is a great mod for the early models, that probably more owners would do if they reaised how easy it was.
All you need is the later X member/track rods, and a rear alignment - nothing else needed.
