Paid and ready to rock!

With 10 entrants cancelling in the last week for various reasons including blown engines, cars not ready, unable to secure leave from work or lack of funds, the event has become seriously under subscribed and underfunded to the extent of a deficit in the order of $7000.
 
This left me with little alternative but to cancel the event. I sincerely regret having to make this decision and apologise to all those who were so much looking forward to the Challenge. i will be contacting each entrant individually and a full refund of all moneys paid will be made.
 
 

I am very disappointed that this has happened, as I have spent a LOT of time, effort and money preparing for it.
Thanks again Peter for putting so much effort into the preparation for this event.
Shame on all of the people that had committed to attending it and then pulled out at the last minute. Not cool!

This must be doubly disappointing for Peter who put so much time and effort into organising the event.
I'm still going to be over that way now anyway, so hopefully i'll find a couple of tracks to have fun on...

Yeah totally sucks! Thanks again for all the attempted effort Pete & others have put into planning etc.
Let's just hope this hasn't sealed the fate for future MTC wakefield events.

Mr G has been very kind in not revealing who the 10 were.  I don't even know.
 
October long weekend 2019 - Nationals
Trackday.
 
Would you prefer the Trackday before Nationals or After?  (Obviously dependent on availability of track as well)
 
 
 
 

Very unfortunate news but well done Pete for keeping the dream alive and pushing forward with this fantastic event for the betterment of MR2's. For me it simply a postponement, nothing more. 
It's a shame that people were unable to get their car over the line due to one thing or another. This things can and do happen. In fact there have been many entrants since 2013 who had spend huge amount of money and effort to make the event then be unfortunate enough to have a failure which ended their campaign prematurely and many more who had to cancel as has happened for MWPTC . I would never blame or think less of these people for this but would sympathise with them and offer any help needed to get them over the line for future events. Pretty confident these people will be first on the list when the new dates are confirmed. 
I will continue to have mine ready for the week of MWPTC so I can still make a trackday with people have already committed to driving that week.

Let me know whats on, i'm looking at options atm

Hi Guys,
As i've already got time of and am heading to NSW anyway, i'm considering alternative track options.
Monday 8th October - Marulan open practice day $150
Thusday 11th October - Luddenham Track Attack $250
Friday 12th October - Wakefield Speed off the streets $150 (if prebooked)
If anyone has any other suggestions, let me know as i'm still keen to do something.

Peter is working on getting a track day run by someone else on Monday the 8th. I'll be there on the 8th if something is on at Wakefield Park.
