Hey Eddie, unfortunately not yet, this engine install was just put in as an intrim so it can still be a usable track car, I hate cars sitting around incomplete :-)

Well, after testing this engine swap out at the track the other week, was happy to say it ran faultless, sooooo much smoother & responsive than the gen 2 NA I have to say.

So now further in preparation for WP challenge, did a little more cutting / grinding under the front bonnet,

Marked up inside of bonnet, ready for cutting

Made up a piece of sheet metal to assist with air flow / down force... who knows whether it will do anything but if nothing else looks very cool.

Gees.. Haven't updated this thread for a while. Anyway lots of things have changed since buying this car, I've been running this car and gen 3 na engine now ever since, and have to admit, although it doesn't have the forced induction power that I much love, it's totally a cool track car and has me smiling everytime I drive it, so thats what it's all about ha.
So decided to keep it as it is. My 99 Bathurst is now in the process of getting the 2gr heartbeat.
Bringing this MR2 over to Wakefield Park again for the November event... Can't wait!

Update:

Well after yet another eventful MTC remix Nov 2017, car ran faultless for the entire 2 days.

After being totally impressed with this car, Ive since decided to leave it as it is (engine wise).
The 2gr conversion is now going into my track 99 MR2.

That's awesome to hear. I'm forever paranoid about cooling issues when tracking my car and great to see that you're not having any of it. One day I'll leap for a 2GR haha.
