I've used a few different pads on my 97 NA. EBC yellow and QFM A1RM. No issues with either of them and no real fade problems. After maybe 5 laps or more I notice the car starts to take a little longer to pull up and I might miss an apex. I ran EBC yellow when I was still on street tyres. A1RM was used mostly with semi slicks and found they were also good but didn't last as long since I was braking harder with the semis (or maybe just not as hard wearing as the Yellow's? Can't be sure). Either way, I just ordered another set of the A1RM's. Can't go wrong for $120 per axle or $240 for the whole set.

I've currently got a set of half used Intima SR on the front which I've thrown on as a set of emergency pads. Last pads were finished off at a track day so I had to replace them with something quick-smart. Not tracked them yet but I'll let you know how they go.

Thanks I'm actually going to give TRW's a shot because they are cheap as and seem to get great reviews. Everyone tracking them only seem to have good things to say about them. When I fit them I'll be fitting larger disks so will see how it all holds up.

Raj i thought you had a BBK?

I have used TRW in MR2's for years and they are great, however they recently stopped manufacturing the high temp versions i used for the MR2's which sucks....

Hey I just saw this post now. I was on holidays overseas in May so must have missed all these posts. Yeah I bought the BBK and have everything just haven't fitted anything up yet till I use up the endless pads I have fitted on the current standard brake discs I have.
Crap I didn't know that TRW changed versions of pads or anything and already bought a set as they were cheap as and advertised as suitable for the track, so hopefully they are the old high temp stuff. They were saying its capable of 700 degree's in the add. Anyway to check this from product numbers????
