Hi,
My tachometer not reading correctly so I’m after a replacement. They are fairly easy to take out of the cluster,
so I would only want the tacho.
Also after an electronic sender unit for a 92 import Turbo factory boost gauge.

Teacho. If not working or changing rates of movement. Replace the capacities from a local jaycar for about $15. If just at wrong idle but moves correctly, just remove the needle and replace back on when car is running and the inner spring will reset correctly when switched off.
Electronic speedo eBay USA - search via Camry part number at about $100 Aussie delivered (aftermarket unit - new)

I fixed the tacho a couple of weeks ago. Started to read lower and lower until it almost didn’t move at all.

Need two 10uF caps (I bought bigger voltage ones, 50or 60v - plenty of room to fit larger ones), they are about 10-20 cents each. Quite an investment.... :). They looked fine btw, didn’t display bulging or leaking. Easy to do if you are handy with soldering iron.

While cluster was out I inserted some LED globes I had (eBay spec). Reading the requirements for needing to sand the back of dials etc I thought I would just give it a go and it has transformed the dials. Looks fantastic and like a modern car.

Cheers

I did what you suggested and bingo...works perfectly. Cost me $20 parts and labour.
Thanks for the tip!
