Hey,

Here is my new daily/work horse

2003 Nissan Navara ST-R 3lt Turbo Diesel

Not a lot to tell about her. Biggest plan is to get a top mount cooler, bull bar and side steps.

So here is some some pics...

haha I have a TD van for ~3 years as well.

Can't go past the fuel economy. Just got 8.4lt for 100ks around town out of the ute, not back for 1.8ton truck.

Could definitely tow an MR2, and will probably end up doing that as mine is always dead (just the battery but yeah haha)

Nice! That'll tow another 4WD, MR2 would be a walk in the park.

Deevon, it does look like a very nice truck!
Any idea what the servicing costs are yet because some of the stories about how they get costly after two or three years has put me off owning a diesel?
I don't need a monster like you have but some of the newer SUV's look good - I was actually considering a Range Rover Evoque Diesel or a BMW X5.
On economy you still can't beat the MR2. My AW11 S/C is now 23 years old and with 124K on the speedo still gets an average of 7.2 ltr/100km.
On our trip to the Nationals last year the Falcon managed 6.8 ltr/100km with his SW20 Bathurst.
It just goes to prove that if they could do this 20-odd years ago why aren't petrol cars much better now when fuel is five times the price it was back then.
Best regards,
Walter

Ha ha yeah MR2 is better on fuel but this baby can get my tools and **** around (renovating a house)

I haven't had to service this yet, but the van was fairly cheap and that was 100% import. For example, glow plugs for the ute ~$25, glow plugs for the van ~$150.

I plan to get a service done on it soon, just something I always do when buying a second hand car, and will let you know.
