Hi guys,
I am from Singapore and just bought a 1991 MR-2.
I am currently trying to figure out how to hook my car up with power steering.
I bought a power steering rack from Japan and asked my mechanic to try fitting it up to the car. He then told me that the mounting point of the rack is not correct so I am pretty confuse. I tried asking others and they say I might have Australia spec MR-2.
I uploaded the rack that I purchase in my album(I don't know how to upload pictures here).
Hopefully someone could advise me what to do as I am using this as a daily.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome Jake.
Power steering pinion is significantly longer so steering column of the manual system will NOT fit.   I think there are a few other differences as well.   Sorry to bust your balloon.   Just keep the manual steering.   It works really well and weighs about half as much.   Lighter is better.
Cheers.

There is another way : Send her to the gym and build up those arm muscles!

Google seems to report its a custom kinda job to change from non power steering to power steering.... Cutting etc, so would be best to have a power steering shell to get it right....

Maybe take out the spare tyre and lighten the front end, puta slightly bigger steering wheel on, change to narrower front tyres, learn for a slight roll when turning.... Many ways to solve the issue...

Hi saw that post. The problem i face is the mounting point for the power steering rack seems to be different from the non power steering rack.I guess I need to bring the rack to Malaysia and check with the MR2 group there.

Would also like to check how to i actually adjust the headlight? Other then the red knob is there any other place that will allow me to adjust it?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks MISTER2, i shall go take a look later.
I just need to remove the black cover only?
Are those allen key or normal screws?

It's easy. Just remove the black cover (4 Phillips head screws on each side), then you can adjust the lights by turning the screws, which are also Phillips Head if I recall correctly.
