Hi all,

Was just reading on MR2OC that Eric Hux has his Honda K20/24 bolt in swap kit ready for sale now. $1500 and it uses your existing E153, axles etc.
More info can be found here. http://www.mr2oc.com/showthread.php?p=5387098#post5387098

Thought some of you guys might be interested. Peace out.

Going to be a few discarded Gen 2 3S-GTE's sitting in the back corner of garages in the US soon....

Nice price.

Still not as cost effective as a build original engine though (in Australia at least) due to driveline prices here.

Looking at the Hux Racing site they have some good products for swapping in the K series, I'm not sure I should be looking at it....

E153 ratios would be terrible. Revving up to 8500rpm in 3rd gear, you'd be doing 190kph. You'd have to put in a super short final drive to make it nice. I think they have a kit that uses the Honda gearbox now. Would be a better package, and lighter too.

I really don't see how the ratios would make it any different to if it was behind a 3SGTE?
Hux racing do also offer a kit that uses the Honda gearbox but they even say themselves that is not the best option as it is not as strong as the E153.

The e153 would be fine for a boosted k swap, but with a high redline and less torque than a 3sgte, the gearing would make it feel less powerful than it is. It youd never used 4th and 5th on a track unless you short shift.
