Forgot to mention previously, had a few issues bleeding the clutch hydraulics. Doing it the conventional way pumping the pedal was a lost cause, didnt do a thing really.
So I pulled the little breather off the master cylinder cap, inserted a bicycle tube valve through the small hole (tight fit, seals well), had my mate hold the cap onto the reservoir, used a bike pump to pressurise the reservoir, cracked the bleed nipple and it was all done in a matter of minutes. Perfect.
I also installed the plastic cover over the radiator in the front (the car never had one) but once fitted the bonnet wont latch shut!? Tried adjusting the rubber bumpers to give it more clearance, but no joy. The mechanism seems all ok, so no idea why its interfering. Might have to check out another car to see if anything obvious is out.
