Dave,
we really enjoyed having yourself and Janet along on the Run, and we hope this will be a continuing thing. I know Grant and Danelle are happy that we now have another Spyder coming with us.
Your car looks fantastic in that metallic green, alongside Grant's immaculate yellow submarine.

Although the number of cars was relatively small, what was special was the representation from all three types, and not more than one of a particular colour. I have put a couple of photos up on the Forum separately so everyone can see what they missed out on.

Matt's red SW20 was amazing with both top looks and huge performance. It's really good to see an SDub that has been engineered properly to almost full turbo potential but with Matt keeping it very close to original on the outside. So much better than poorly fitted body kits and suspension so low you can't drive over a speed hump.
The car is a credit to Matt and I hope he doesn't mind travelling down from the Sunshine Coast more often to join us with his brother Ben as co-pilot. Ben is also another Toyota fan and later showed us pictures of his Celica-powered mid 1980's Crown. I hope he might bring this on our next outing as it would be nice to have a "limousine" with us.

I won't comment on the other cars, especially Steve's SW20 Bathurst, because it can't be improved due the way he looks after it. If Steve goes to the Nationals next year then there is going to be some very tough competition from him for best SW20.
All in all it was a great day, the weather was just right, and the roads really suited the cars.

Thanks again for coming and see you next month,
Walter

thanks mate, feels good when someone else appreciates your own car too, and bens car is a ms123 toyota crown powered by a ma70 supra 7MGTE, has 230kw atw, whole car including engine/gearbox/mods and car itself has only cost him $5500, givin that he is a mechanic and did all the work himself he should be proud.

Groper
I'd like to add welcome to Dave & Janet and Matt & Ben to Qld Club. It was a pleasure to meet with you and I'm glad you had a great day enjoying some of the sensational roads around South East Qld (that hill climb up Obi Obi Rd is a buzz!!). The weather was sensational and certainly better than our run on same (flooded) roads early in the year.
Matt, I think Walter meant to say "engine from a Supra" (not Celica).
cheers
Steve
