G'day guys I'm new so i thought i'd chuck a post up. I've got a '90 MR2 GT with a few mods and somewhere over 220rwkw. normally in tas but i'm in Melbourne for work at the moment. boosts coming in a little late but its tuned soft to look after the gearbox... think i could use a smaller a/r turbine housing ...and its only running 14psi and stock cams.

soz. specs. The dyno run is a little bit iffy cause it was pretty heatsoaked and was pulling a lot of timing, and the dyno might be reading low... i wouldn't be surprised if it's more like 260rwkw on the street... but it's a long story.

Pics? You didn't mention what fuel pump you're using. That GT3076 should be at around 260-280rwkw @ 20psi.

will try find a pic but its not pretty lol. stock fuel pump. the motors pretty understressed at the moment, 14psi is easy, stock pump is keeping up for now and it can still run rich up top, the restricting factor is the cams over 6500rpm i think, but the factory cams get me great fuel economy so the engine overall ends up being a nice package. if i was going to change anything i'd consider the cams and a smaller turbine housing for quicker spool...

without gettign into it all too much, and without trying to sound like i'm making up numbers lol, when the power run was made the car had been cooking on the dyno all morning with no fan on the intercooler, so the intercooler wasn't doing much and the engine was pulling a lot of timing (10deg) cause of the inlet temps. (80 degrees C). also the dyno seemed to be reading about 20-25rwkw low. we put 3 degrees of timing back in and made 10rwkw with the hot inlet air. optimistically it's already making 270kw, but i want to put it on a dyno again when its fresh and not too hot.

welcome mate

Id say the first thing to do is get rid of the haltech boost controller or try a manual one to test the difference, easy to do. water to air would also help with the heatsoak but its a difficult job, a few on here including myself have done it with great results
