Good Progress!

This wasnt the purple one that was for sale locally previously with mismatched engine lid and boot lid?

Any reason for the cut out in the front bumper?

Yes this is the one that was recently for sale. It has lots of things that needs fixing mechanically, interior and exterior but I'm slowly working through it all. The interior is looking very nice now, just need some carpet from Tristan to finish it. Once the paint is done I'll work on the suspension with the motor coming in last. Such a shame when people don't take care of such a nice car but I doubt you will notice its the same car after I've finished. The number plate fits over the cut out section on the front bumper.

These are the only photos I have before I started working on it, you can't tell the paint is badly damaged here but if you know the car I'm talking about you will know how much of a bad shape it was in.

I unfortunately do. I inspected it previously before the person you bought it off bought it. Was a bit to much work for myself to take on so I gave it a miss.

Personally I think it would look 100x better if you can source a stock rear bumper and side vents (there is a bits for sale locally PM me for details)

Nevertheless, Great job on restoring it. Definitely needed some TLC look forward to continued progress.

Edit: I actually still have the engine lid of this sitting behind my shed - rivet holes and all....

Thanks for the offer will definately look at restoring factory down the track but for now need to use what I have to keep my cost down as I still have lots to restore. You don't know anyone selling any brake lines do you? Please PM me if you know someone with parts especially the brake lines as they are down to the metal.

I think this was the young blonde chicks car that f#cked everyone over 6 or so years ago on floor mats.

Good to see someone rebuilding it bigger and better.

I think you are right Kam.

Good job on the build WFX. Let me know if you need any parts. Might have some lying around somewhere in my garage.

Thanks for the offer on parts, I'm building a list of what I need at the moment... yes a list! :)

These are the rear lights that I'm mounting into my two and they're mainly referred to as the Revision 6 style. I've had these for atleast 5 years now as I was going to put them into my last car however with all the crazy things I was doing with it I just never got around to it. Now I know these may not be everyone's taste but they are unquie and the current MR2 stock lights are not working properly so I might as well put them to good use instead of them collecting dust in my shed.

I do most things myself, sometimes I fail but every time I learn... just waiting on some nice weather for the paint to go on as its been a little too cold these last few days, weekend is looking promising.

My last MR2 wasn't modified, I have a Celica that is thou which now that I think about it haha was overkill but plenty learnt!

Finally had some nice weather so managed to get the car painted on Thursday with some help from a mate, then the cut and polish on Friday and its come up surprisingly well but will give it a day more to set and then will start putting the exterior pieces back on.
