You can get oil filter cups, that fit to the end of the filter so you can remove and tighten to correct torque without damaging them. They sell them on ebay for like $55. Use these commonly on European cars that have filter cartridges but work on all filters with the correct number of flutes (edges).

Check the number of flutes and the size, make sure the kit has what you need. There are a lot for sale, I paid $55 free delivery for mine so shop around a bit don't pick the one off the link.

I bought this one recently. Worked a charm for my 3sge and 4age.
 
Especially the 4age since its right under the manifold
