Dasic, I am running R6 with 500R ignition. I had no issues with it. Obviously not the cheapest setup around.

You have an SM4 dasic? Interested in a knockboard for it?

Do you know how much better the 500R is over something like the MSD

I got the car back again. It ended up going to a different panel shop as the last one wasnt interested in fixing it. Its not 100% percent but there is only 1 spot that im not real happy with (passenger side where the abs sensor was) but it will do for now.

I decided to get some bits ceramic coated wich I just got back as well as a new adaptor to replace the standard oil coller.

Also the piston rings arrived so will hopefully will put the engine together on the weekend.

In this one you can see its still a bit ruff where the abs sensor used to pass through the body








Ive also managed to fit the heat exchanger up the front and was able to keep the ac. No photos of this yet as ive droped the radiator off to get fixed as it had a leak, and the heat exchanger needs the cap to be removed/welded up

Sweeet. Glad the rings got to ya ok!! the USA have had a massive back log of shipping with certain international couriers (e.g. Amazon has been super slow!)

I never thought about a delay in shipping, glad I did get them as I want to get the engine back in the car over xmas. It was also a 6 cyl set that came.

I have some axle cages and a phenolic intake spacer coming from ATS so will see how long they take to turn up.

Ive started putting putting the engine together over the last few days





I soaked the commpressor cover in kero put was still not happy so painted it, if it flakes It wont be hard to remove and polish it

Didnt get much done today but the bits from ATS arrived


The spacer needs abit of work, bit disappointed that its not the same size as the original gasket. I think they must have used a manifold for the size as it fits that pretty well
