K20 swap not your cup of tea? Maybe 2019 might bring the engine swap you may prefer...

Definatley not a fan of a Honda engine in my dub haha. This is mighty attractive and interesting since TRD haven't done much in the past decade at all. Looks like it would fit perfectly in a dub with some proper extractors, can see these things retailing quite high but its nice to dream.

Yes I think if you had to ask how much is it then you probably cant afford it, haha

I am considering the Honda route as the more I look into it I find it just seems to make more and more sense over building up a beams like I had originally planned, I would like to do it in such a way that I could swap the 3S back if I was planning to sell it down the track though.

I'd say the changes required to the wiring alone would prevent you from ever going back once you put a K20 in. None of the connectors will match, so they'll all need to be changed. You'l. need mods to make the gauges work. Etc. Etc. So... your wiring loom will never be the same again. The only way around that would be a full custom loom, but even then, I'd say you'd never be able to go back. It would just be too hard, or expensive.

Then there's the engine mounts... and the changes you'll need to make to the chassis to bolt the K20 in.

And besides all that, the BEAMS is just better and has more torque where you actually get to use it while keeping your driver's licence intact.   (Yes. I know I'll get shot down in flames for saying that, but I really do believe it. )

I'd like to do a k series conversion but I agree about the torque. My daily runs a k24 and while it holds 100 uphill in sixth it's not going to accelerate. Drop it to 5th or 4th even and it pulls.

I wouldn't run a K24 naturally aspirated!! For me there is no replacement for "BOOST"
Also Hux Racing to a bolt in conversion package that has bolt in mounts that require no cutting or welding of your chassis so in that regard it is reversible.

I also think if you were to remove your complete loom and do a custom loom in theory you could later remove the loom and replace it with the factory loom.
