Ahoy there, I'm Tony and this is my '95 Bathurst.

I put the deposit down today and it will be ready to be picked up on Wednesday. It will be my first car, the car that will take me through the joys and strains of probationary licensing (L plater currently, waiting until January to sit my manual probationary license test).

A little about myself, I'm currently 20 years old working full time for Volkswagen as an apprentice mechanic. It's good work, and it allows me to apply myself in ways I enjoy. However I would like to start working on my own vehicles, and I thought this neat little MR2 would be the perfect start.

In terms of my MR2, I don't know much about the car aside from that it is completely stock down to the cassette player, it has done 112,000kms, it's a 5 speed short-throw manual and was freshly sprayed black recently. The vehicle was also part of a deceased estate, which may explain why the kilometers are fairly low for it's age and the condition of the interior and exterior. The listed price was $10,999, however the online price was $8,999, and I was subsequently able to negotiate the price down to $8,800, with an initial deposit of $1,000.

Here are two pictures and a video I took today upon placing the deposit. More will come as I take delivery of her :)

Aside from that, I just thought it would be a good idea to introduce myself to the forums - I look forward to learning lots and contributing!

Wow! That looks immaculate.

These Bathurst in stock condition have being going on the price rise as of late - seems like you snapped up a bargain - especially considering the condition and mileage!

Thanks Chase! Your white sdub looks the goods also. For me it only could of been black or white.
But I think the black makes the lines of the sdub a lot subtler, also because this was the only real good condition sw20 Bathurst in Victoria so obviously I inquired quickly.

And yes I do totally agree that they are rapidly becoming a rare and collectable car as of recent, particularly unmolested examples. A real investment if done right :)

Damn fine looking car! I saw the add & thought it may be a real gem. Any plans for it? Looks so nice I'd hesitate to do anything more than fujitsubo exhaust, headers & intake.

Great pick-up, and awesome first car.
I wanted a 94/95 bathurst so bad when I was on my L's..!

Interestingly; whats the reason behind getting your license so late, particularly for someone doing a mechanic apprenticeship (so would definitely assume interested in cars!)? I would have got my license at 10 if i was allowed..!
