Despite rain being predicted (again) we had a great Run yesterday, with brilliant sunshine all day, great people and great cars.
In a first for the Club we welcomed Joel from the Supra Club who came along as an observer. After seeing all three models of the MR2 together Joel is not sure which one he would now like to own, this being despite the Adub followers arguing that their 80's retro look was back in, the Sdub followers pointing out their flowing lines and larger fuel tanks, and our Spyder bretheren just sitting back and letting the car do the talking.
What was interesting having a Supra along was the petrol tanker that followed us everywhere at a respectful distance. Must be something to do with the economy on those straight sixes when they try to keep up.

Our Technical Director, Scope, also again proved the worth of belonging to a Club that has Runs with their own built in engineering support. We had minimum delay when one of the Sdub's developed a leaking clutch, but after a short stop to replenish the fluid and some close oversight the car was able to complete the run and make it home.
The proposal to have the Slidewize competition in September was strongly supported during discussions at the lunch location, so subject to the arrangements being confirmed with the Slidewize team the Queensland Club will have a day of going up against another group of cars later in the year. This will make good practice for the Nationals and Motors in Motion.
The next Run is April the 21st so make sure that date is circled, and lets hear about ideas for the Night Run in May.
