Just curious if anyone has removed their OEM BPV? If so how do you find driving without it?

I found this: http://www.mr2australia.com/mr2play/tm.aspx?m=70709

No benefits, only drawbacks. I'm new to turbos, but it seems to me a bypass or BOV would be a necessary component.

Not a good idea to remove a bov as its there to protect the turbo from damage.

Some say yay, others nay. My advice is that there really is no benefits to removing it unless it is bypassing on boost, so just leave it there

although that being said in a racing application if you flat shift or shift quick enough (without a bpv) you would still have inertia in the turbine and positive manifold pressure for the next gear. That's the only benefit, which you won't need for a street car / the average driver. I didn't have a bpv on my car for a while because the stock one was failing, but I upgraded to an aftermarket shortly after. The chirping was annoying and I'm not that much of a hoon to be smashing through the gears everyday haha
