Hey mate, I managed to replace the fuel pump with a Walbro all by myself in one day.
However, I did have a pit at home and sussed out the job a far bit before I did it.
Take your time, inspect the fuel lines and breathers before you put it all back too.
Go to my showroom thread and I think on the last page I posted a link to a webpage that I used to help with the procedure. Also, the starter motor is close to the fuel filter so if your replacing that too (which i suggest you do) disconnect your battery. Sparks and fuel don't mix.
