Toyotas sales team is in full swing. Received 4 calls in 1 day about expressing interest on their website (mainly to test drive again).

I love Toyotas.....but seriously, Toyota salesman are the worst I've ever dealt with.

Bit common these 86s. Saw three on the road yesterday and 0 MR2s
I think they are great little cars, if a bit ugly by MR2 standards (but much better CD)
My guess is that less than 10% will be driven as intended and the other 90% will go to the hairdressers. Same way thatwhat is really a fantastic driver's car, the MX5 has earned its hairdresser tag

^thats because MR2s are often broken/weekend toys
I haven't even seen one on the road down here. I don't mind though, least I've driven a couple :)
MX5 will always be much more of a hairdresser car since its got a (gay) soft top. :P

you do realise that if this were to become the most common car on the roads that would be the greatest thing to ever happen right?

the more people that buy this cheap FR sports car, the more cheap FR sports cars will appear on the market, from nissan, or honda, or mazda or any other manufacturer.

i would rather every gay person and hair dresser and ditzy girl drove a FR sports car than a FF econo****box that comes in automatic only and is crap to drive.
this is the car that will get a new breed of enthusiasts into cars.
go to a high school these days, none of the kids care about cars anymore.

this should change that,

Your CU2 Euro is significantly heavier though. If you drove a manual CL9, I think you'll find it goes significantly better. 6sp & lighter.

My next company car.....yet to be decided. The 86 would be cool but prolly not practical enough for a daily driver (need kid + dog room) considering I already have a weekend toy.

Yeah don't know why Honda only gave it a few measly extra KW with the new one that is bloated, compared to the old.
heh an 86 company car sounds about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike lol
