Awesome update :)
Been looking to get some of those Recaro LX seats myself. Where did you aquire yours from?
How much for the rail? Drivers side?

Yeh do it!
A friend alerted me to them on Ebay.
I trawled for a while, it was by chance that S.E editions were found. They were also fitted in the Hilux Surf with just a few trim and stitch differences. The LX seat appears often enough on Ebay being used by many other manufacturers. Great seats!

The current rails both came from JDM concept, they take a week to make brand new at Bride and then a further week to send. Id absolutely recommend JDM concept! The spare drivers side rail for sale was from an Ebay seller of Bride rails. Listed as NEW im dubious... functions super just some minor blemishes. Ill put it up shortly for sale was thinking $250 shipped.

Cheers!

Great looking car.  Jealous of the blacktop conversion - one day!!

Recaro seats are such a good addition, big improvement while retaining originality.

Hope to see you around Melbourne on a club outing soon.

Rainystreets thank you! Might I add just how incredibly clean your adub is. Cheers for the kind words regarding factory originality something im trying to not deviate from keeping it OEM+ !!! Will absolutely see you around, looking forward to seeing your impeccably clean example.

HOW. COOL. IS. THIS.
That texture!!! What a finish and it's satin! Woah.
This was the original floor console that came with the car.
Super fragile, damaged and riddled with micro cracks.

Cool!
Peeled the soft trim off super easy. A heat gun was used along the edge of the underside. Removed the soft trim to use elsewhere.

Putting it up in case anyone wondered whats underneath their soft trim or if you have a cracked console and want to repair it without damaging further.

I peeled off and cut a clean section of the soft trim. This cut sections was used to cover a custom blanking plate and keep everything looking as Toyota/OEM/original as possible.

New blanking plate with matching OEM grain and feel:

Been driving with some super cool adubbers - Melbourne is so lucky to have such a great bunch of dudes.

(Cheers for the photo T-pain.)

Been tinkering.
Completed the full A/C delete removing all lines, condenser, brackets etc

Heres all the stuff excluding the evaporator.

Evaporator is cabin side behind the glove box.
Ill get to it during the next interior pull apart.

All this weighed around 14/15kgs.

With the condensor out theres HEAPS of clearance to the rad. Front spoiler has finally said enough's enough. Zipties just aint holding it together anymore.

Keeping in theme I got around to removing the fog switch that came with the ex U.K binnacle surround with a Toyota blank.

Its the small things. I was over the moon!!!
Had a spare blank the whole time and didn't realise!

No radio, no aircon, no coin holders and all capped with blanks.

Better interior shots.

Thats it! Drive tomorrow.

How much for that surplus-to-requirements foglight switch???
