I did some karting yesterday to get me in the mood for the Wakefield Park Challenge.

With the next Wakefield Park Challenge being very close now, we have produced a short video that shows the three different circuit configurations that will be used. We hope that this will help newcomers to quickly become accustomed to how the day will be run. Let us know what you think.

What I think. Yep that looks great. Doesn't need anything else. Keep it the same. Great.
Has been disgustingly quiet about this Octobers event.
Who is going ???? Could we have an expression of interest from all those contemplating attending in October ???
Who is attending the Nationals and then coming across to Wakefield Park ??
Five months to get ready but it won't take long to be on us.
Lets hear what you all think about it.
Cheers.

I'm in for both....   altho as you know, not competing at WP.
Paid my Nationals entry fee .  Booked my room & enough leave to cover both events plus a couple of extra days.

I should be at both. I've booked and paid for Wakefield, but haven't booked Nationals yet. I should pull my finger out and get it done shortly.
How about you Doug, are you planning on coming again?

The response has been very low.
I have the one day meet this Monday which is well subscribed by another group with just a few MR2 owners.
Once  that meet is said and done, I will be putting in more time on the background work, send some emails then see where MTC 2019 goes from there. I will give it 6 weeks then make a decision to risk taking on the massive financial risk or just walk away where someone else can see what they can do or see it fade into the ether of lost track days.
It has gone a long way from 2016 when people were lining up to be there to basically a small core group in 2019.
It's hard too for the interstate people who have to book in time off work to commit more so than my loss.
For the sake of all who have been part of this over the years (over 100 entrants since 2013) that it stays alive.

Will talk to some Queenslanders and see if we can get some extras over the regulars.

Yep Rick. I've booked time off and accommodation at the Statesman Hotel. Entered for Nationals and will be running at Wakefield Park. Wish there was a bit more enthusiasm from the enthusiasts though.
At least 3 or 4 of us Queenslanders are coming down for both events maybe more.
I would like to think there will be a significant number of the MR2 Nationals people will enter for Wakefield Park while they are so close in both distance and time.
They are both great events and Wakefield Park is a fantastic opportunity for beginners to experience quality track time in a very safe and relaxed environment.

I'll be at WP as usual, though I haven't entered yet.

I've booked and paid for both the Nationals and WP. Looking forward to catching up with everyone.
I thought we had the numbers for WP in October ! and the more the merrier ...
