Hi Steve, been following your thread for a while, and have seen the amount of effort/money that has gone into it.

One quick question, did you plan to go this far into it when you decided to put in the v6?

And do you have a better spaced photo of the exhaust in the bumper? I'm keen to have a look. Do you think your bumper will have melting issues?

So I have been spending a lot of my spare time sorting out as much as I can so I can have the car ready for some meets coming up later in the year. I have sent through a payment for a trackday with the Queensland crew on the first week of September so there is plenty of motivation to get the car sorted within the next few weeks. I have also sent a application to the WP Trackday in November.

I'm looking forward to seeing this car in action at QR next month!

There has been a lot of money lost on poor trade services. It would have been a better scenario if this wasn't the case.
If I had gone with the single throttle body it would be a completely different scenario but a lot of the work was always going to be done and more to be done. I'm enjoying the work so no big deal.
I will be fitting a steel sleeve to the bumper to stop the issue with heat.

As long as everything goes to plan,  I will be there.

So it's been a busy week on the car with some positive results. Almost ready for tuning which will see the car ready for driving by mid October. Would be earlier but keen on reworking a few more things before I get behind the wheel.
Itb is pretty much sorted, just needs fine tuning before it's run on the dyno.

Just a update on proceeding with this build. I have moved to EGT's for tuning as the tuner has requested these. They are still in transit so the tune has been pushed back another few weeks.
The fibreglass targa tops arrived a few weeks back so will finally have the OEM look as opposed to the lexan cover the car has had since day one.
Currently working on the Honda S2000 steering rack conversion. There is a bit of work involved but not too concerned with it. The ratio will be 1:2.4 with the electric motor to be managed by the Haltech but the power will be supplied via a relay controlled by the Smartwire as it would be too much power for the Smartwire to manage. Would simply get to too hot.

I cannot believe another month has passed but it has.. Fortunately I can say the car is now up and running with the car being run-in and tuned tomorrow. On idle, it sounds better than it has done in the past but it really is an animal. a lot more than I was expecting.
A lot has happened and lot more will be happening today before it shows up at the tuner. Its not perfect but it will be enough to get it over the line for the tuner. If all goes well, it will be going through final prep for the WP Challenge in a weeks time. We (tuner and I) will also be able too see if the sound levels will meet the tight restrictions of Wakefield Park.
As for WPC, it will not be breaking any records aside from attempting to run reliably for a few days. A 1.10 is the estimated time I will be working on. A friend was running the NT01 on a Nissan S14 with 300kw which was doing 1.07 all day so I will be sticking with that tyre to see if I can have the MR2 in the same ballpark.
Will have another update after tuning.

I'm looking forward to seeing the dyno sheet, and also the car on the track.
