So I have been spending a lot of my spare time sorting out as much as I can so I can have the car ready for some meets coming up later in the year. I have sent through a payment for a trackday with the Queensland crew on the first week of September so there is plenty of motivation to get the car sorted within the next few weeks. I have also sent a application to the WP Trackday in November.
There was a lot of work to be done in the cabin which is now almost complete. Accusump system is now operational aside from the wiring for the oil gauge. Anthony who provided most of the great photography at MTC provided the yellow decals which have been a great addition. Really happy with the results.
The throttle cable has a new mount as the old one was poorly located in 2010. Managed to make this out of Chrome Moly sheet. It's now exactly the way it should have been with perfect control.
Have also embraced the 'nutsert' fittings. They are now being used everywhere including the throttle cable bracket.
The oil catch can is now relocated to the engine bay along with the gearbox oil cooler relocated to the passenger side intake.
Hoping for start up by Friday but will have to wait and see if the intake manifold saga is finally resolved.
