Finally dropped the car in to the tuner today. Getting it prepared was still a drama with a major plug from the ECU falling off! The ECU was removed then repaired, fitted with a 100% result in a matter of 15mins. The car was run for 30min to make sure there were no leaks with one found at the Vband. This was fixed and now it has no leaks, engine sounds OK, clutch should be a button on the dash as it has nothing between on and off..but it was expected.
Tuner is Phil Armour located in Penrith. He has a lot to do with the development series, F3, Improved production and a gaggle of other classes. Mine looked like a crappy old dirt racer compared to the other cars in the workshop when it showed up due to not been washed since last year. A reliable, solid performing package is the prefered option when the tuner calls back.
The car will be tuned on BP Ultimate as I had a lot of trouble sourcing ET race fuel. This will change in the future, but for the moment I just keeping it simple.
So Friday is looking good at this stage.
