I bought the bracket from Hux racing but I have a feeling it was to be fitted somewhere else but it seem to fit there with some mods. Being low and closer to the centre of the car made good sense at the time, but there have been heat issues with a few failures caused by the alternator location so close to the dump pipe. Ceramic coating of the dump pipe, shifting a little further away from the dump pipe and insulation to the wiring has stablised the heat issues. I agree with the heat sheild and will be looking at this in the next few days.

The V6 gearset closes up the ratio's. Will have some video comparison between the two in the coming months.
Shimless buckets: I couldnt use the Gen 3 buckets with the BC valve/retainers as they suit the Gen 2 buckets. There was a choice of selling the BC kit then buying something else or work with what I had. Through the forums I became educated in the three different generation of buckets used in the Toyota engine with the shimless being the lightest, safest, reliable option. I had a hell of a time setting it all up but worth the effort.

Cheers

I like your water pump fitment. Are you still running a factory thermostat?

The water pump has a water control system where a dedicated sensor sends temps to a control unit which manages flow rates to control temps so no thermostat required. This is adjustable to suit what temp you wish to use. The pump can be set up where your programmable ECU manages the temps/water pump instead of the provided control unit.
It also allowed coolant to be sent from the back of the thermostat housing to the turbo then out to the radiator return line without having to use the recycle system. I didnt see the point in super heating coolant in the turbo, then sending it straight back into the head then wonder why intake temps are difficult to manage. It may not be the sole cause but it would be part of the problem.

Cheers

Well the car is now running. There a a few small issues including a few leaks but nothing which cant be fixed in a day. Since putting the new fuel pump in the car the mixture ratio is very rich so will be adjusted before starting the car again. Problem now is finding time to get it completed as work has been very demanding of late.
It did sound nice to have a decent exhaust on the car instead of a 2.5"restricted unit I have put up with since day one. 3"all the way with a 'c one'exhaust manifold to be fitted before the run in/tune.
Most basis are covered, would like to have fitted the quick ratio rack but there has to be a limit at some stage. Maybe later in the year I can look at it but not just yet.
Hope to make the Circuit club track day in a few weeks.

Interesting with the water pump , never seen that. Curious without the thermostat how you can separate engine circulation to the radiator circulation .
