Yeah. 180SX near me pulled 590RWHP on a 35R on race gas of course @ Gold Coast autosalon. No oversized valves or headwork minus cleaning up of ports and cams. Using SR20 alloy block, no sleeves. Backed it up a week later on skyline aus dyno day w/ 550WHP.
I think you could push your tune a bit more man and with w2a and fix to your ignition also get 450whp.
Those results don't surprise me, some of those SR20 guys are making some impressive power. I'm satisfied with the tune, pushing it any further on pump gas would just be greedy & quite frankly unnecessary. When I do get more power, it'll be via the W2A conversion & stronger/stable ignition (MSD). That would equate to somewhere near the region of 450rwhp, which I consider to be about the limit for pump gas (keeping in mind a limit of roughly 20psi & a reasonably sized turbo).
Race gas opens up a whole new world of possibilities, add C16, throw in a bumload more boost & timing, then watch your MR2 shift into another dimension.....lol I won't ever take mine there though, I'd need bigger injectors (800cc's not enough I believe), second fuel pump, better MAP sensor & I think my block will choke under the pressure. Doesn't really fuss me though, cos who roams the innocent streets on C16.....
