Alright so i have been having thought about tidying up the engine bay a little bit. Making it neater and bringing it up to life. Im all about OEM feels. So using the same can of high temp silver paint i got to work on the heatshield and hotpipe of the car. I had to take off the hotpipe anyways to change out the SSQV to a SSQV4, as i believed it was leaking.
Im extremely happy with the result. And brings up the engine bay alot.
Here are the pics of the process.
Here what i started with (hotpipe)

Need a c clip piler to remove the SSQV from the flange. Lucky me my neighbour had one

My SSQV was plumpback, the way i like it. Nice and quiet. Had to take it apart to get the inlet out.
The infamous SSQV fins
Swapped it out for the plumpback action
Removed the heatshield afterwards. Extremely unappealing and needed to be restored!

What hides underneath the CT20B :P
I could of used higher gritt sandpaper. But it was okay just to roughen it up and clean it up.

Forgot to mention. I dont have pics but i wiped it up with
Wax and Grease Remover just to prep it before the spraying process. That was it for the night, and the next morning was the painting. Had some unexpected rain in after the first coat and had to take it off the clothes line for a few hours.

I sanded the back the old finish on the screws with the dremel and gave it a few coats of silver too to make it fit in. Here is the finish product.
