before buying a BMW 135i look into the class action lawsuit filed against BMW for the N54 engines:

yeah I have been doing some extensive research on the n54 engine and they say the revision pumps are well made. The latest pumps are only about $400 so worse case scenario would be replacing that.

So I sold my 180sx and am now jumping back into the MR2 until the 86GTS arrives. There are a few small differences now with my mr2. It no longer has the fancy 4-1 headers or the toms intake or the fujitsubo exhaust. What it does have is a single out apexi exhaust. Sounds ok. 
 
Will be a fun car to drive around till the new car arrives in the next 6 months or so. Might go to some club events too :)

So your keeping the MR2 and buying a 86GTS not a BMW?
Does the MR2 have a second hand NA engine due to the issues with the 'built ' engine?

I got a roadworthy today and cleaned the old girl up.. Can't wait to register it and go for a nice long drive on Tuesday.

Any updates on the engine build?

I just took the old girl out of the garage for the first time on the weekend, drove it to my brothers workshop to get some work done on it. I hadn't driven it in such a long time, I had forgotten how special it feels to drive...
 
I currently daily a GTS86 with turbo conversion running on e85 with 200kw at the wheels, I am worried about how many kms im racking up on it. I'm highly considering turning the MR2 into a daily for the summer. 
 
There is no update on the engine build because I just haven't had the motivation for it with the new toy in my life. 
 
I have a 2grfe lying around that I would like to jimmy into it though.
