Why did I leave it until after all the shops were shut to check over the car? I might miss the run tomorrow if the battery doesn't charge up overnight and I need a new one.

Fredhoon, dont worry about the battery if it doesnt go. We will just jump start it all the time like I had to do on the February Run with the ADub.  I will have leads with me.
I purchased a new battery from SuperCheap at Goodna. They had the exact right size and Tish (short for Latisha) was very helpful. Century brand, made in Australia, 3 year warranty. The last battery I had lasted one month over the warranty period.
Hope you can make it.

And our apologies also - we are still not 2-enabled.  I've got fingers crossed for April, but Targa plans may intervene.  See you all sometime this year

Thank you Kathy for leading all day. Well done. Great route too.  And well driven by all. Eric and Danny a bit sus though !! Doing two loops instead of one ??  Whats the go with that ?  I think we only had to stop and wait two or three times for the AWs to catch up .  Zip ties stronger these days I guess. At least the bl##dy things didn't run out of jet fuel or whatever brew they put in em this time.   Really a great run !!  I enjoyed the good company and very nicely presented cars.  I had a very nice drive on my route home too.  Way better than the motorway on Sunday.  Once again many thanks Walter and Kathy for putting together another of your very well organised events.   I hope you all noticed the new features on my car and were just too stunned to say anything on the day !?    I hope you also took note that for the first time ever I had my age eclipsed by Walter senior.  Not by much though !!   Welcome to the club Walter and very pleased to make your acquaintance.  Cheers   Doug.

Good run and great company as always.

My apologies for the delay due to roadside repairs, I need to fire my mechanic for his shoddy work.  In hindsight I should have followed Doug back through the Numingbah valley as the Motorway traffic's failure to maintain 110kph in the right lane (and inconsistent speed) always infuriates me.

Below are a couple of photos at the Tweed River showing off my poor parking...

Ahem... I seem to recall one of said AW11's waiting with the SW20's at the front of the pack. ;)

Actually I am really chuffed with the old girl, she's done well over 1500 km in one week, 700 on a very hot day (up north), and didn't miss a beat. Then again I don't do my maintenance with zip-ties... that must be where I am going wrong. :D

Just put him on starvation wages for a week, that'll learn him!
