Well the wheels arrived as planned and then my tire shop managed to squeeze them in and fit tires this afternoon. All within an hour. It is looking 10 times better (and meaner) in my opinion :)

Did some basic cleaning up the car work today. Some small rust removal and new oil etc. Goes into the shop tomorrow to have the chassis looked at and the control arm bracket replaced/repaired (Previous owners damage). I am usually keen to do most work myself but as this is going to be a platform for hopefully a very fun car I wanted to make sure it is perfect. Also not having a jig or another car to measure from means I can just not do that here and be happy with it. One last pic before it goes off. May need to wash it when it comes back...

looks so much better on the RPF1's. One of my favourite wheels too.. :D

Yeah got them from an ebay store in America. AU$700 brand new + shipping.

Was shipping expensive? I've been considering a set of these for a while now, but they always seem to float over the $1k mark and out of my price range [:P].

Yeah with shipping was just over 1k. You could always email them an offer though ;)

Just a bit of an update. The back end is all good now, though a few smaller things are still getting fixed up while it is in the shop. Hopefully get the roadworthy while it is there and have it registered in the next week or two. Taken longer than originally planned but these things are expected to.
 
Getting excited! Will have to keep an eye on the events section now :)
