Not sure what brand it currently is.  Have to wait to see if he will replace under warranty.
Yeah could look at getting someone to do something like that.

Wonder if he'd just give me some cash to go away....................... could I even suggest that to him?  Don't think I'd be brave enough.
Then I'd go to an Auto Electrician, get them to fix it & also the other little annoying electrical issues.

How long should it take them?
The Auto Elec I'm thinking of does lots of work on our utes & I'm fairly sure he has a hoist.
He also had a couple of interesting sports cars there last time I was there.  Looking at his website he's worked on at least 1 Ferrari, plus lots of project cars, so I think I could trust him to take care of her.

If it is an NA one it will, but not if it is a turbo one.
Turbo alts use a larger bracket than the NA alt.
However if it is a turbo alt and you also got the turbo bracket with it, that should fit the NA block, if you don't mind adding a bit more weight.

I forgot to mention that the later model alternators have an oval plug, while the early model ones like on your car have a round plug.
Handy to know if you're looking to replace.
