OK everyone, glad to see some enthusiasm for the Hill Climb. I will be doing a separate post on this, but for everyone who wants to be there on the 19th of October I want to quickly dispel some of the rumours already circulating. ALL of the relevant information will be in an upcoming main post but:

1. You do need a CAMS license but the MG Car Club will issue you one on the day for $25.00.
2. There is a noise limit, but given some of the cars Groper, DV_S and I saw on the recce we did, unless you have no muffler at all you should be OK.
3. It is run very professionally, you do training and track walk sessions under supervision before you get to do the proper computerised ELECTRONICALLY TIMED runs.
4. P Platers are permitted.
5. There is a spectator area with good seating, plus an excellent pits area.
6. The "Come and Try" costs $50.00 (plus the $25 for the CAMS license) and unlike the QR, Downshift, Lakeside, etc; "Happy Laps" if you want to go around 20 times there is probably time to do this. In Hill Climbing you are really racing yourself.

Appetite wetted????? Watch for the Roll Call.

I'd be keen. I've got some light engine modifications done so I can feel a little special :p.
