Looks like a good showing for the Queensland crew. Well done Knightrous. I am thinking of coming along for the day if I am free. Not to drive, but to help out if required.
There are a few concerns about tyres but it really doesn't matter what you run as long as you understand when they are starting to change the way the car is behaving. A tyre pressure gauge and temp gauge are a must to getting the most out of the tyres.
Even if you run a tyre with grip, you should be more interested in your brake pads and fluids as these will be letting go before your tyres. Brake failure is not a lot of fun.
Also for those who have been before, treat it like a 'spirited drive' where you can refine your lines. This takes a lot of pressure of your day.
For people who need some more info on preparation for a trackday, check the race/rally menu on the forum. There is some useful info there.
