^Alex I've heard other guys tuning on this and getting a fair bit more power compared to a 98 tune. IF your ECU can run a dual tune, can't see why you can't have the best of both worlds?
If this is as good as people say it is, I'd never use straight 98 again unless I REALLY had to.

Plus it's cleaner for both engine and environment :)

I might get my car tuned on this fuel and regular 98. Is there anything i have to do to my fuel system?

Well it ran E10 for quite a while (have an "experimental thread log" about it) and have no probs no far. I alternate between 98 and E10 now cos 98 is closer to me and carbon deposits = higher compression. When prices spike I def go E10 lol
I calculated saving about $200 if I go E10 for a year compared to 98 and I only cover 7k to 10k km a year
Might go back to updating the log on fuel economy between 98 and E10

Short answer - No, anything up to 10%E will be perfectly fine.

Josh, is this something similar to what you and Tim were doing with the 98 + E85 mix?

I ran the BP 100 octane for 2 months and logged it. It did nothing to the tune/power but only cost much more
Coincidence , i dont know but my high flow ceramic cat failed after 2,000 kms. It did smell different also.

Ild stick to BP 98 I believe its more consistent than shell

Tried it, made a difference but not enough to care. It's not so easy to find now either, some servos have it for a few weeks then nothing for months. That was with my 300+rwkw 98 tune. In the words of Hitman "if your tune can't handle that little ethanol, you've got other problems too". Wouldn't hesitate to use it with a stock ecu, given they're so rich in the first place. From memory, you'll run approx 0.2:1 leaner with United 100.

Alex - its similar in the respect that there is Ethanol content in the fuel but not exactly the same, as I'm finding it hard to monitor how much E is in my tank at a given time. Also, the E content of Caltex E-flex is variable, so its anywhere from 'E70' ie. 70% ethanol up to a max of 'E85' ie. 85% ethanol. I'd say it would be somewhere in between most of the time. United premium 100 is 90% ULP98 with 10% E.

MR2QIK - You're right about problems with availability, I went to a United servo last year that said it was available on the website, but found out it was unavailable when I went to fill up! The attendant didn't know anything about it either lol. Now I just call up and ask before I go to save time.
