After some delay here's where it's at

 
Just had to get hold of a shorter alternator belt now that the compressor is gone. Picked that belt up today, installed it and dropped the engine onto some blocks. Did some tidying in preparation of putting an engine back in and got the new flywheel/pressure plate installed.
 
Looks like I may be able to make it to Toyoshow now.

Can't access the other side, contemplating just running the three bolts now.

Well if it's any consolation I had to modify one of my engine/alternator brackets to fit the alternator in FWD config but so did Mandalay and his engine hasn't dropped yet lol
How did the others do it?

not too sure if you can, but maybe drill through the other side and have a longer bolt to go through the whole cavity, and put a nut on the other end??
 
if that makes any sense..

Alex: Unfortunately the fuel tank is in the way and to do that I'd have to drop the tank, and we all know what a PITA that is right?
 
Tree: The other bolts are fine if that's what you mean? This is my front engine mount.

Jumbo riv-nut?

Helicoil or similar ?
