I've used the universal ones a couple times, and are never an issue. I use ones made by a company called Transteering (they actually look like the ones whiteline is selling there).
They're were available from Bursons, and I'm sure are
much cheaper than those there!
as for the rear ones, I wouldn't bother. they should be fine until they're flogged out.. and when that happens, you'll sure as hell hear it. Worn ball-joint end-links knock loudly when their time is up.
