Hi Ive just gotten a set of Koni adjustable shock inserts but i need to know how to tell if the car has billstein shockers. Ive looked at the shock and it had toyota and a code  E?-??? couldn't identify the full code stamped on the strut but nothing more, cheers nathan

I had bilstein in the rear of my MR2 (fronts were apparently changed as they were too stiff for previous owner)

Mine have a yellow sticker with bilstein written on.

You will probably need a set of early gland nut type strut housings  to take your new inserts if they are the normal type of Koni's.

The pic shows a comparison between the gland nut type and a sealed Bilstien strut top.
Jack the car, feel between the spring coils, and raise the gaiter to check the strut tops.

Inserts can still be fitted to sealed struts, but it is a PITA job and you need special inserts with a bolt thru the bottom.
