Even though there has been a pretty big split in the NSW MR2 group (spilt like 80:20) between this forum and the 'other' forum this is something where petty little continuations of nonsense should be left out.
Tom, Jaemus, Mrs Jaemus, Dylan and David have really put some good time and effort into the club over the last twelve months.
The meeting is tomorrow night.
Really mate, is there any need to make a comment like that which only inflames the situation. There was elements on both sides which caused the breakup in communication between previous members.
Yes, the current administration has put a lot of work into the club over the past 12 months and my congratulations go to them for keeping it going but the previous administration kept the club going for some 15 years and finished up with around 60 members in NSW.
I joined the club in 1999 and was a member for approximately 11 years until I sold my car and I enjoyed many great times over that period even meeting some of the forum members who were involved at that time.
I still take an interest in the club and follow the forum and I hope the club continues to thrive and gain membership for many years to come.
Really, mate, can't see a single thing in that which would 'inflame' anything. Not a thing. That asks that any drama that anyone has with forums be left out and the club be the primary interest, which is shared.
I really have no idea what you are referring to. I do know there are some previous members for reasons that i'm not privy to do not wish to rejoin.
Yes, the previous group who ran the club did a great job, this was a call out to save the legacy of the club that was created by that group of people. There would be no club at all without the previous groups hard work and establishment of the club. There also would be no club without the group which put their time and effort in over the last 12 months. Not trying or wanting to take any credibility away from either group of people.
So your comments have come totally out of left field for me, and it 'inflamed' any interest or debate over the club - well, i'd rather see some debate happening and the club be open for anyone new or anyone wanting to rejoin and have some nice drives and club time - rather than see the club's 'flame' suffocate and be extinguished.
