The MR2 Club NSW has planned its next official club run to be held in July. The presidents run is an annual event held in July that takes the club an varying routes as determined by the club president. This run will start in the morning and head up towards Singleton, then Wollombi for lunch, and back to Sydney. This is a rather large run spanning about 300-400km ‘s so will be a majority day event.

There will be a pub lunch stop along the way so if people can make sure they have money for this. as the place has no eftpos available.

What will be needed, You, Your car, Full tank of Fuel, a walkie talkie if you have one and a great attitude for a great day of driving these cars where they belong.

This run is open to members and non members alike. I hope to see a lot of MR2’s along to make this a big cruise event.

The club always used to run AM CBs so they had no cross chatter. Are you going AM or FM?

Hi guys. a bit of an update, I did a dry run last week and found some roads unsuitable for our cars.
 
so a revised run plan has been put up.
 
NOTE THE MEETING POINT HAS CHANGED. THERE IS ONLY ONE MEET POINT NOW SO NORTHERN PEOPLE WILL NEED TO HEAD EARLY FOR DURAL.

For the Newy guys,
Any thoughts of a meeting point here?  Google says it should take around 1 1/2 hrs from Swansea to get to Dural.
Wallsend & Western side??
or through Belmont & Swansea on Eastern Side?
 
Or if you're not keen on the Early Morning, there is the option of meeting at Wollombi for lunch & doing the afternoon part of the run South.

What sort of walkie talkie/radio?  We have a couple of different ones at work that I could probably borrow.  Or my new phone has some sort of CB thing on it.

We just have a standard uniden walkie talkie!
