Spoke to Andy and we should be paid up this week, we really need that garage space coming from Melbourne and all (in case something breaks + tool/spares storage)

Looking forward to this.

PS. Will we be racing on the whole circuit instead of just the short course?

I've had my car at Wakefield a few times and I don't have muffler at all. It's just a 3 inch pipe straight off the turbo, and I've never been hassled for noise.

The noise is measured on the hill about 30mtrs from the track so it will not be a issue. Our cars are very quiet compared to what you see at a race track.
You dont need a cage or harness unles you have fibreglass doors but if you are running under a 1:09, I would recommend some safety for your own sake.

Have a garage is a great way to spent a few days at the track. Power, lights, pull the doors down if the weather changes and when you arrive in the morning, you lift the doors to a view of the track. What more do you want!
You also have your support vehicles right behind the garage which makes life easy for service and maintenance on the vehicles.

Trav, we are using four different configurations of whats available at Wakefield. This only happens in rare circumstances but will be a regular if this event is well supported.
The short course will be used from 9-12 on the Monday at the same time the CAMS Hillclimb. It will be a round robin between the two layouts.
After lunch, the special stage will be prepared then used till about 4pm. After 4pm, the event will then be run on the long circuit.
From 4pm till 6pm will be practice for competition, passenger runs, social driving.
I really would like to keep the social driving to people who are more into cruising, show and shine style events who what to do a few laps for the first time with a experienced driver and on their own.
People  who are experienced in hillclimbs and trackdays should really do the challenge as its not a big competition but opportunity to experience four tracks, five formats in two days, have some fun with some friendly competition thrown into the mix.
Im organising a check list for preparation of your car to help clear up what is required. It will not be over the top like some other events, but the main aim is to have your car reliable, good brake pads, new fluid, no major oil leaks and some other bits and peices.

Cheers

Can I get some clarification on the Street Class.
My AW11 has a 4AGE 20V Silvertop from a AE101, C56 gearbox from a AE101 Corolla, ST185 Celica front brakes, SW20T rear brakes, no carpets and no center console (Still retains the dash and door skins). Is this enough to forcibly bump me into the Circuit Class?

I had a look at your website and you do have a strong focus on the track orientated events but the car really is only lightly modded. You certainly have the skills and experience to be in the circuit class.
I would like to see you in the circuit class as you really do represent Adubs in QLD motorsport (excellent work btw) but it is your call as the car is boarderline on being a street car but still on the street side.
How about a class for the Adub? There has been interest from Adubs in Vic and NSW so it can be arranged. It would make a great aspect of the event and attract a few more Adubs to the event.

Generally its just down to what tyres you choose to run i would have thought?

Its in the reg's as to how far you can go but it is more than tyres.
You can modify to a point, but there is a point when it can move into the quicker class just to be fair to the closer to standard spec cars looking to have some fun and a little success in their class.
I will call tomorrow and discuss.
