Have a garage is a great way to spent a few days at the track. Power, lights, pull the doors down if the weather changes and when you arrive in the morning, you lift the doors to a view of the track. What more do you want!
You also have your support vehicles right behind the garage which makes life easy for service and maintenance on the vehicles.
Trav, we are using four different configurations of whats available at Wakefield. This only happens in rare circumstances but will be a regular if this event is well supported.
The short course will be used from 9-12 on the Monday at the same time the CAMS Hillclimb. It will be a round robin between the two layouts.
After lunch, the special stage will be prepared then used till about 4pm. After 4pm, the event will then be run on the long circuit.
From 4pm till 6pm will be practice for competition, passenger runs, social driving.
I really would like to keep the social driving to people who are more into cruising, show and shine style events who what to do a few laps for the first time with a experienced driver and on their own.
People who are experienced in hillclimbs and trackdays should really do the challenge as its not a big competition but opportunity to experience four tracks, five formats in two days, have some fun with some friendly competition thrown into the mix.
Im organising a check list for preparation of your car to help clear up what is required. It will not be over the top like some other events, but the main aim is to have your car reliable, good brake pads, new fluid, no major oil leaks and some other bits and peices.
Cheers
