I must say that's a pretty disappointing power figure considering I'm on 170rwkw untuned with a CT20B and full decat exhaust on a stock gen2 motor done 130'000kms. Might pay to get a decent computer running it all?

jdmr288: You basically summarized my situation in one sentence.

I'm running a PFC. It should be more than sufficient for my purposes. Injectors are 680cc, so at 185kW then should not be -anywhere- near 80% duty cycle. I'll know for sure once I get the car back tomorrow and be able to check the FC Commander. Something is amiss. It's just bloody frustrating and aggravating not being able to find a workshop/tuner/mechanic that will work WITH you in making your car all it can be. (exception to this being WTF Auto - Tristan is great).

Anyway, I'm done with this. CBF anymore really. Until such time as I meet a workshop that actually looks like they give a damn, I'm not gonna bother.

I'm sorry to hear you didn't make any extra power man. There should be more potential there!

As you know I had a very similar setup to you (expect I was running stock cams) and made 191rwkw.

Send me the dynosheet Brendan. Come to the next meet & I'll have a good look at the car. I'm sure it's got more in it, I suspect cam timing.

Sounds good Jay, I'll do that. Actually, Matt didn't give me a dynosheet, so I'll have to see if he can email it to me. I've also downloaded the map onto my laptop if anyone with a Datalogit wants to have a look at it.

Finally managed to get a hold of the tuner for a chat. Main problem is that the maximum boost the turbo could generate was 14.7 psi. He cranked the boost controller setting up as high as it could go and still it could not boost past 14.7 psi.

14.7 psi boost, plus turbo working at max. capacity, seems to be the clear culprit for a 20 - 30 kw loss of power. No idea what the problem is yet. Maybe BOV, maybe leaking hose?
