That's awesome, good job mate. The 2ZZ looks so much more at home and tidier than the old 4AGE did

Nelson, earlier in the thread you said "The half cut cost $1550 from Just Jap in Sydney! Freight was an extra $275 to the Gold Coast."  Just Jap Auto Imports don't list half cuts, so any chance of a URL or address for the mob you used? (or do they just not list them on site?)

If you are chasing a half cut i would seriously consider buying a crashed celica from the auctions. You can get them for about $1200.
I got one from gumtree for $800 that the person had bought from the auctions because it had 'cool wheels'. He kept the wheels, i got me a celica.
Nearly everything you need for your conversion.

Do you still have the celica parts especially the airbox?

Hoonsy,
Thanks! It definitely does hey! Looks aren't the only advantage though ;)

seasalt,
The invoice I received was from JustJap, although the half cut was listed on eBay under an account called jdmperformace_2008 or something like that. I have seen any half cuts listed by them since. I'm not sure if they still do them. As Barry said, it's probably just easier to find a wrecked Celica from the auctions or something like that.

sweetpete,
I still have those parts lying around! Send me a message if you'd like to buy them.

jerome.stanjovic
For sure! Will you be going to the QLD March Club Run?

5SGTE,
I would highly recommend it! It makes the car so much more enjoyable to drive!

barry,
The total spend of the build by the end of it was close to $3k, which is not too bad in my opinion!

What an awesome build man, having owned a 2ZZ celica and now the Sdub I know you've got a winning combination there. The 2ZZ looks so much neater with its fancy plastic engine cover haha. Are you still using the adub dash just revving all the way to 8K? haha.
