Hey Guys,

Just jump started my sw20 from dead flat after having it sit for 2-3 months and the power steering no longer works.  Is this a common fault with sdubs, or is it likely I've fried something when I jumped it?

TIA for your help

Fault find; check fuse, relay, bushings in pump, speed sensor, steering sensor.

Probably the relay. Super common issue.

I think an old solution was to cycle the key on and off 10 times.

Yeah cycling the key on and off roughly 10 times worked for me until I replaced the relay.

Its also a quick way to find out if its your relay.

I had to cycle the key 10 times about 2 years ago, never had a problems since.

Of course it will fail now that I have said this.

Soo I started the car today with a full battery and the problem was gone.  My only thought is that when the car was started with low charge it didn't start the p/s system and remained off for my trip around the block.  If it happens again I'll give the key trick a go.
Thanks for your help guys!
