IMPORTANT UPDATE TO PREVIOUS QUEENSLAND AGM NOTIFICATION
 
AGM NOW ON THURSDAY THE 1ST OF OCTOBER 2015
 
As per the previous post on the AGM it was tentatively planned to hold it this week on Thursday night, the 24th of September. This date was venue dependant as we were going to hold it for the first time at night and during the week, instead of on a weekend as we have always done in the past.
 
Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to delay the AGM by a week, so it will now be held at 7.30PM next Thursday the 1st of October 2015. If you are coming then please plan to arrive by 7.15PM to allow time for sign-in.
 
The meeting will be held at 8/16 Collinsville Street, Rocklea, which is the clubroom for the MG Car Club of Queensland. After our initiation at their hill climb circuit last year the MG Club has kindly offered us the use of their facilities for our AGM, including the Club off-street parking area and their club bar.
 
All of the above information has already been sent by SMS text to members who have their mobile phone number recorded with the Club and this post is being made to confirm the activity.
 
There is no requirement to reply to this posting to confirm attendance. However, if any member would like to place a special item on the agenda for discussion which cannot be dealt with in "General Business" then please PM me with the information.

can I please request my Number and details be taken out of your database or where ever you keep my information, as to mobile address ect,ect.
 
I received the txt message for this at 8:37PM. I was NOT impressed as I am already asleep for work as my hours are odd.. 8:30PM might not seem bad to many but wake up at 1AM every morning. I do not work a normal job nor am I retiered so for a week night I was not happy. thanks

Dom, 
we normally deal with these Club admin requests through PM so as you have paid for your current membership I have sent you one with a few questions on what you have requested.  
 
Could I also suggest that if you don't want to be woken by your mobile while sleeping that you might give some thought to either putting it on silent or turning it off to avoid being disturbed? You will of course still get the information but at a time controlled by you when you access the phone after waking up.  
 
SMS is a cheap and effective way for information to be disseminated and we will be using it more in the future.
