That type was fitted to post '92 models.
Be careful with OEM wheels because the horn connections vary.
The pic shows the rear of the '90 model wheel and one similar to what Shaz has fitted.

Yes it is from a 1992.  All works good on my 1990 baby.

Ian - i have that hole for the plug on my car as i remeber having to get a boss kit that suited. so am guessign they should fit without much hassle.

The back on the wheel was from my car that shaz has
And it was a non clock spring type.
And mine is a 11/92 build..

ill have a good look, my cars is a 90 JDM. and has the clock spring unit. from lookign the pics redtarga posted the steeringwheel should fit.
mystock wheel looked like the one on the left in the pic but with the clock spring unit on it and the hole in the wheel. bit weird. i think the clock spring unit was also used for the directional foglights to work. which only the JDM models had afaik.

:(  My baby is at the doctor again.  Auto Elec this time.
Problem with alternator.  Don't know yet whether it is fixable or will have to be replaced.
Either way it sounds like I could be without a car for a couple of days
