Nice car Pete.

I have a request for the monthly meet crew. There are a few people who will be travelling from interstate for the MR2 Australia Trackday Challenge who would like to come along to the Sydney monthly meet which happens to be the night after the two day event. I mentioned a cruise which they would enjoy : A lap of Olympic Park V8SC circuit/ The bay Walk/The bridges to Sydney Harbour Bridge/ The back roads cruise to Cremorne Wharf/ Photoshoot of the harbour from the wharf. This location has plenty of space and quiet enough for a reasonable amount of cars.

This is not about attempting to take over anything, its about providing service to interstate guests when a few happen to be in NSW/Sydney in their MR2 for the first time. I hope you guys can help out the fellow enthusiast's with some of what Sydney has to offer.

Cheers

Steve

The Sydney people are far too lazy to actually go somewhere on a Wednesday night.

MTC is very tight schedule too, but manage to make it work so figure the same can be done in Sydney.
It's not that tight.
  • The Olympic Park is less than 5 minutes from the park where people meet
  • The bay run is a 15 minute drive from Olympic Park. The bay run is a 5-10 minute drive with brilliant views.
  • The Harbour Bridge is less than 10 minutes from Drummoyne where the Bay run finishes.
  • The turn off for Cremorne is the turn off for Luna Park then its another 10 minute drive to Cremorne.
  • The return trip to Olympic Park is 25 minutes. ( I lived 5 minutes from the wharf while travelling west many days a week so I know this very intimately.
So a the complete loop including stops will take from 90 to 130 minutes. Start at 7.30 then back by 9.30.
As mentioned, the interstate owners would appreciate fellow enthusiast's going out of their way to show some of the treats of Sydney after a 3000km round trip to see the East Coast. I am positive they would do the same if we visited.

I'd love to do all that.
I'm having to do a 4000km round trip, so i want to make the most of it. It would be great to have fellow MR2 owners show me around....
