Pretty happy with the purchase :-)

Welcome Michael.... what a great name you have there.
In relation to a cruise / meet, I occasionally organise a friday or sat night, pizza / cruise outing.
Was planning on doing one early March, but most of us are as Rick mentioned are heading out to Mallala for the day.

I recently bought a aw11 4agze mr2 and love it to bits. However needs a bottom end knock :( so when i source how to fix that ill look forward to seeing you all out on the road :)

Welcome to the small but dedicated group of MR2 enthusiasts in SA. Hopefully you can get your problems sorted and catch up with us all sometime. A group of us are planning on going to the practice day at Mallala on September 26 if your interested in coming along.

I hope so too!!!! Hopefully having someone to look at it this week :( Hopefully it will be ready by then I might tag along :)

My name is Nick and i have recently picked up an Imported 1988 Supercharged Mr2 in White and Silver. 
I travelled over to Perth to pick it up from a fellow forum member (world walker). He has taken his time putting it back to its original glory.
 
This is my first mr2 and i only really liked the first gen, it was either getting an N/A and turbo it later on or wait for a SC. Fortunately i had posted on the forum a while ago and Nick (world walker) sent me a message and the rest is history.
 
Current mods - 
Larger Supercharger pulley
Conversion to manual
Straight thru custom exhaust (quite loud when on boost)
stiff shocks and new rubber bits all round
electronic boost gauge
 
Future mods - 
Fix boost gauge (currently showing atmospheric pressure)
Fix exhaust rattle
Re-gas aircon (including putting new o-rings in)
Lower the rear ride height
 
It would be good to meet up with the rest of the ADL crew and see all your cars as my admiration for all things mr2 runs deep in my veins. 
 
I will post up some pics in the near future once i learn how to...
 

Hi everyone
I bought my first Mr2 na about three and half years ago , I used it for tracks days for about a year and a half
And gave that car so much abuse I was shocked that it took everything I could throw at it and never missed a beat whilst a lot of my mates car's were in and out the pits with break downs ..........
And it was then I had a soft spot for the sw20 .
After that year I wanted more power .......
And so bought my sw20 import ,I did a few track days and found out that the previous owner hadn't looked after the car and it was in need of some light work !! Or so I thought
Two years later and a few quid lighter hopefully there's a light at the end of the tunnel ..........
Full engine rebuild and a few bits later hopefully will be track worthy in the new year maybe spring , fingers crossed
Same as Nick I'll post up some pic when I know how to ................?

You should consider joining us at the MR2 Trackday Challenge at Wakefield Park in January. There is quite a few SA guys making the trip for the event. I did it this year and it was fantastic, so I'm doing it again.
