Thanks purple5ive. I had a quick search and you are right, apparently it is said that Poorboy is made by the same company that does Chemical guys. However you would imagine the ingredients would be slightly different. Chemical guys products have good reviews. There are so many products on the market it's so hard to know what to go for. I might have to drop into the Brisbane CarCareProduct store and have a chat about what is suitable for my paint.

Thanks MR2QIK, agreed. However the current ride height has been forgiving for my daily driving.

I decided to mock up a new bathurst sticker for print. I have tried to get it as close to identical as possible just need to resize it by another 2mm. I haven't picked a grey/silver yet for the lettering. Mine is to faded to gauge the correct colour. I had a look at Groper's on the MR2 club run and the grey/silver was light with a slight sparkle. At the next club meeting I will have to take a photo and try and get a colour match.

After discovering most large printing places would only print a minimum of 50 - 100 stickers, I was lucky to find a local business run by one bloke that had no minimum order! The sticker came out great. Printed on clear and contour cut to match the original. I just need more practice applying since small air bubbles are visible.

Old

Removed: I found the old sticker difficult to remove since it was sun baked, I heated up the sticker then gently scraped it off. There is slight outline of the lettering on the paint work. I tried claybar + polish + wax and it is still slightly visible. Hopefully it doesn't look to bad in direct sunlight with the new sticker over the top, I shall check it out tomorrow.

Nice. Don't Toyota sell them?

No, Toyota don't make them anymore.

They come in at least two colour options lumix, but that has come out awesome.

Hrmm pretty sure my dad has an OEM one chillin at his place as a spare.  One of my old girl friends dad worked for Toyota and had a drawer full of Toyota decals from which I was given the mr2 related ones and passed onto dad as I didnt have mine at the time.

Thanks guys.

I had only seen two bathurst stickers, mine and groper's, so it is interesting to learn that there was another colour option! I picked a grey that I thought was a good match. I'm stoked how it turned out, has improved the rear end 10 fold but now my tail lights and center panel look so dull in comparison! So that will be another little project for next week.
